Sharon Knaper

April 28, 1947 — July 3, 2021

Sharon Bell Knaper, age 74, of Royal, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021.

She was born on April 28, 1947, in Hobbs, New Mexico, the daughter of Curtis Clarence Bailey and Zeena Harrison Bailey. On February 20, 1997 she married James Randolph Knaper. She is preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Emily McPherson.

Sharon was Christian and Baptist in her faith. She graduated from Hot Springs High School and was a long-time employee of Buck’s Butcher Shop. She enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and reading. She loved spending time with family, James, her children and her grandchildren. Sharon will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, James Randolph Knaper of Royal; her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Tina Embry of Camden and Richard and Tosha Helms of Hot Springs; her daughters and son-in-law and fiancés, Tammy and Roger Carter of Hot Springs, Candace Conner and fiancé Jason Stanley of Bonnerdale, Tabitha McPherson and fiancé Mike Buttrum and Tara Knaper, all of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Jena McNeil, Austin Johnson, Cole Arlington, Chase Arlington, Jordan Johnson, Katlyn Conner, Savannah Helms, Peyton Carter, Justin Carter and Ethan Embry; her brother, Jerry Bailey of Hot Springs; extended family members and many good friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
