Steve Martin

May 26, 1963 — November 5, 2020

Steve Martin, age 57, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

He was born on May 26, 1963, in Little Rock, the son of Bennie Charles Martin and Joyce Jester Martin. He was preceded in death by his father.

He had a great love for beagles and watching for deer. He enjoyed riding his tractor and lawnmower, even though he was never actually mowing the grass, but just enjoying a happy ride. Steve also enjoyed swimming, listening to music and singing, but he will be most fondly remembered for his love to arm wrestle anyone he could convince to compete with him.

Steve deeply loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed visiting with everyone he would meet. Anyone who was honored to have known Steve, knew he had a true heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Martin of Glenwood; his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Jim Goehring of Glenwood; his niece, Lauren Cost and her husband, Coby, of Hutchinson, Kansas; his nephew, Benjamin Goehring and his wife, Caitlin, of Fort Worth, Texas; his great-nieces, Eilley, Azlyn, Keeva and Zadie; his great-nephews, Graham and Bryson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2020, in the Mount Tabor Cemetery with Jim Goehring officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
