Steven Charles Tankersley

Steven Charles Tankersley, age 48, of Hot Springs died Sunday, June 26, 2011.

He was born on April 5, 1963, at Hot Springs, the son of Bobby Gene Tankersley and Betty Lee Wilson Tankersley. He was preceded in death by his father.

Steven was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center as a Radiology Technician for 22 years.

The light of his life was his three daughters.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Tankersley of Hot Springs; his hearts true love, Shelly Tankersley of Hot Springs who is the mother of his four children whom he adored with all his heart, Drew Duggan, Caroline Tankersley, Allyson Tankersley and Madelyn Tankersley, all of Hot Springs; two brothers, Michael Tankersley (Tamra) of Pearcy, and Robert Tankersley (Vikki) of Hot Springs; one sister, Nanette Tankersley of Hot Springs; nieces and nephews, Samuel, Jacob and Jillian Tankersley of Pearcy, Luke and Logan Tankersley, and Tamra Kimzey and Tonya Spurlin, all of Hot Springs; one great nephew, Gregory Eason, and three great nieces, Abigail Spurlin, Arabella Spurlin and Alyssa Spurlin, all of Hot Springs; and numerous friends.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 30, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, with Pastor Ken Carney officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Michael Tankersley, Robert Tankersley, Rodney Meyers, Drew Duggan, Luke Tankersley, Pat Parker, Logan Tankersley, Jacob Tankersley, Samuel Tankersley and Gregory Eason.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tankersley Children’s Fund at any Simmon’s First Bank.
