Tammy Louise Fryar

Tammy Louise Fryar, age 42, of Oden, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. She was born on December 5, 1970, at Royal Oak, Michigan, the daughter of Marion McKinney and Teresa Tobia McKinney. On January 5, 1990, she was married to Jimmy Fryar. She was preceded in death by her mother, Teri McKinney; her aunt, Peggy Jester; and her father-in-law, Carlton Fryar. She was a 1989 graduate of Mount Ida High School and was employed with the Office of the Polk County Prosecuting Attorney. Tammy had a warm, loving spirit, who never met a stranger and always had a smile for everyone. Her happiest times were when she was cooking or spending time outdoors with her husband. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Fryar of Oden; her sister, Jenny McKinney of Mansfield, Texas; her father, Marion McKinney of Sims; and a host of extended family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Oden with Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be David White, Bernie Soliz, Mike May, Neil Thomas, Jeremy Lee, Mikey Cook, Jarrett Scott and Gary Norman. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
