Terry Doster

Terry Doster, age 71, of Kirby, passed away, Wednesday, March 16, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1945 in Hot Springs, the son of Winston Doster and Ruth Whisenhunt Doster. On September 3, 1963, he was married to Laura Gayle Austin. He was a member and deacon of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where he also served as a Sunday school teacher. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Gayle Austin Doster of Kirby; four children and their spouses, Paul Doster of Kirby, Teresa and Scotty Hardage of Kirby, Kari and Scott Lowrey of Dierks and Kimberly and Ricky Pennington of Kirby; five grandchildren, Benjamin Hardage and his wife Autumn, Maggie Hardage, Taryn Lowrey, Chandler Lowrey and Draven Pennington; his future great-grandchild, Raylee Hardage; five siblings and their spouses, Cherryl and Gerald Grant of Kirby, Gail and Melvin Markham of Salem, Dana and Gene Horn of Salem, Tammy and Danny Reese of Murphy, Texas and Kelly and Tammie Doster of Glenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2016, in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Herring, Bro. Melvin Markham and Bro. Bobby Golden officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Joyce Tolleson, Ray Cook, Jerry Turner, Greg Smith, Danny Walker, Mike Funderburk, Lynn Tolleson and Wes Johns. Honorary pallbearers will be Troyse Ward, Tommy Adams, Dr. Lee Archer, the staff of Stephens Spine Center and the staff of Ouachita Regional Hospice.
