Timothy "Tim" Eugene Simmons

Timothy “Tim” Eugene Simmons, age 61, of Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

He was born on June 26, 1960, in Murfreesboro, the son of RT Simmons and Erma Gean Ashley Simmons Helvey. On May 28, 1988, he was married to the love of his life, Lea Anna Jester. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his stepfather, Floyd Helvey.

He was a member of the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church and was employed for over 29 years with the Briar Plant. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt track racing, spending time outdoors, going hiking and was an avid fan of Arkansas’ own Mark Martin and NASCAR racing. Tim loved his morning times with Lea Anna, having breakfast and watching the hummingbirds, and going on road trips together with their special friends, Kathy and LaDale.

Tim’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his time with his grandchildren and his granddog, Kira. He dearly loved his family with all his heart, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and cherished him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lea Anna Simmons of Daisy; his two sons, Tommy Simmons and his wife, Vanessa, of Kirby and Lucas Simmons of Newhope and his girlfriend, Meredith Fahrney; his daughter, Tara Fowler and her husband, Hunter of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Tyler Simmons, Kodi Simmons, Raelyn Simmons, Randi Fowler and Peter Fowler; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cammie Simmons of Amity; his brother-in-law, Dennis Jester of Glenwood; and numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 31, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Raymond Dees officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cody Richter, Keith House, David Smith, Rusty Jester, Joseph Musick and Ricky Pennington.

Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice, for all the wonderful and kind care they gave to Tim and our family.
