Velma A. Louton, age 98, of Bonnerdale, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born on December 28, 1915, at Bonnerdale the daughter of John Andrew Buck and Luella Carpenter Buck. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Carolyn June; one sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Hershel Robbins; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lessel and Audrey Buck and Quinton and Bernice Buck and one grandson, Michael Louton. Velma was a member of the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, and had been since she was 15 years old. She enjoyed oil painting and painted the baptistery wall for her church. She also enjoyed being outside in her flower and vegetable gardens. She liked to cook and was known for her wonderful apple cobbler. Velma adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-laws, Wilma and Elton Potter and Glendean Caudill, all of Bonnerdale, Arlene Smith of Jonesboro and Donna and Gary Ausley of Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Loyd and Linda Louton of Hot Springs; eleven grandchildren, Stanley Potter, Paula Potter, Sherri Fullbright, Ricky Thompson, Vicki Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Ricky Stewart, Steven Stewart, Tim Ausley, Shannon Ausley and Chad Ausley; twenty-four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren with two great-great-grandchildren on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dale Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mazarn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Andy Drennan, Allen Fullbright, Stanley Potter, Ryan Potter, Tim Ausley and Chad Ausley.
