Virginia Gail Copeland

Virginia Gail Copeland, age 71, of Bismarck, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

She was born on October 19, 1948 in Bismarck, the daughter of Fred Curtis Looper and Leona Childress Looper. On June 13, 1969, she was married to Richard Arlo Copeland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Freddie Lou Dyals; her brother, Manuel Looper; her brother-in-law, Fred Dyals; and three sisters-in-law, Alice Looper, Blondell Looper and Nellie Looper.

Virginia was a Christian of faith and member of the Beaton Methodist Church where she served as church secretary. A loving wife, sister and aunt, she loved people and never met a stranger. Virginia was retired from Shelby Manufacturing in Glenwood where she had worked for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Arlo Copeland; five brothers, Junior Looper, Fenton (Mary) Looper, Roger Looper, Calvin Looper and Eddie Looper; three sisters, Jamie Davis, Betty Dover and Gloria (Charles) Sorrells; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored, as well as, many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2020, with Bro. Rick Collie officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Beaton Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
