Virginia Lee Hill

Virginia Lee Hill, age 88, of Amity, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. She was born on January 23, 1927, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Grover Burris and Ethel Zehaley Burris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Silas Hill; her parents; two daughters, Dorothy Hill England and Rosemary Hill; one son, Leroy Hill; two grandchildren, Paul Hill and Catherine Hill; and one great-grandson, Elijah Brewer. She was a retired certified nursing assistant and Assembly of God in her faith. She is survived by six children, Tim Hill, William Hill, and Linda Green, all of Glenwood, Darrell Hill of Mountain Pine, Rosa Roach of Hot Springs and Marilyn Hill of Amity; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, James Burris of Hot Springs. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Vernon Wehunt officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Brewer, Joshua Brewer, Brandon Cogburn, Chandler Brewer, Tanner Wilson, Jerry Green, Gary Green and Randy Green. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
