Virginia Roach Sanders

April 28, 1948 — December 22, 2021

Virginia Camille Roach Sanders, age 73, of Hot Springs, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

She was born on April 28, 1948, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Ernest Roach and Mary Camille Rushing Roach. On June 23, 1967, she married the love of her life, Paul Sanders. She is preceded in death by her parents.

The Lord blessed her and Paul with their first child, Donna Renee, on December 30, 1968, and a year and a half later was blessed again when Paula Gaye was born on June 26, 1970. After raising her two daughters, Virginia was gifted with two amazing grandsons, Andrew Broadbent and Matthew Mory. As her grandsons grew up, becoming adults, she became their trusted ally, the person they could turn to, a vault for all their secrets. She (Granna) loved her boys and was so proud of the men they have become.

Virginia was a Christian and a member of Piney Baptist Church. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life. One of her greatest passions was guiding little ones to the Lord through teaching Sunday School and VBS. She loved life and always on the go. She enjoyed many things while here on earth; collecting dolls, reading, baking, putting together family photo albums full of her special memories, supporting President Donald J. Trump, and spending countless hours tending her yard with her faithful dog, Chew-Bug, by her side.

Virginia (Ginger) will be lovingly remembered by family and friends for her faithful trust in the Lord, her quiet gentle nature, her sweet smile and her devotion to family. While we are devastated by her loss, we know that her love, spirit, words, of encouragement, wisdom and comfort will live on in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul Sanders; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Michael Stallman; her daughter, Paula Broadbent; her son-in-law, Charlie Broadbent; her grandson, Andrew Broadbent and his wife, Tori; her grandson, Matthew Mory and the love of his life, Meighan Mears. Virginia was also blessed with amazing brothers and precious sisters, Larry Roach, Don Roach, Charles Roach, Ronnie Roach, Doug Roach, Johnny Anderson, Dianne Williams, Judy Roberts, Betty Keene and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, with Bro. Larry Catcher officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service.
