Wonesday “Wendy” Lyn Porter, age 39, of Hot Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

She was born on April 14, 1981, in Germany, the daughter of Alan Scott Brown and Belinda Yarbrough Brown. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kevin Jensen; and her stepmother, Chunn Brown.

Wendy was a member of Amity Second Baptist Church and a 1999 graduate of Kirby High School. She was an LPN and was employed with National Park Medical Center Cardiology-Heart Center.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Austin T. and Braylee Jackson of El Paso, Texas; her daughter, Rylee Nichole Jackson of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Cassidy Coffman of El Paso, Texas; her mother, Belinda Jensen of Amity; her father, Alan Brown of Lawton, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Jennifer Brown of Killeen, Texas; one sister, Ann Fagan of Amity; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Jimmy Forsythe officiating.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 people, at any one time, attending indoor services. At all services, you must avoid all physical contact. Attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering, which always conceals the mouth and nose.
