Keith Whisenhunt, age 56, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was born on December 11, 1955 in Huntington, Indiana, the son of Tribble Whisenhunt and Lorene Rodgers Whisenhunt. He was preceded in death by his father; and two sisters, Karen Peters and Connie Mack. Employed with the Cossatot River School District, Keith was an avid deer hunter and loved being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Davis Whisenhunt of Athens; his son, Brian Keith Whisenhunt of Athens; his daughter, Sarah Michelle Whisenhunt of Athens; two granddaughters, Skylar and Harley, and one grandson, Damion, all of Dierks; his mother, Lorene Whisenhunt of Newhope; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Kevin Miller of Newhope; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the Daisy Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sharp, Steve Alexander, Derry Wayne Pinson, Kyle Efird, Donnie Manasco and Mike Gardner. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
