Nancy Whitaker

Nancy Whitaker, age 68, of Mount Ida, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was born on October 11, 1943, in Washington, North Carolina, the daughter of Arthur Williams and Ann Padgett Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marie Williams. She is survived by her husband, Kim W. Whitaker of Mount Ida; and her brother, Arthur Williams of Washington, North Carolina. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2011, in the Joplin Methodist Church with Rev. David Steele officiating. Interment will be in the Joplin Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Todd Gadberry, Chris Barnes, Bill Barnes, Jerry Coleman, Terry Terrill and Jon Ahrnes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joplin Methodist Church, P.O.
